Peruvian producer signs deal with Warner/Chappell Music

13:58 | Lima, Jun. 20.

Peruvian Kayfex, producer of the viral hit "Tijeras" (Scissors), has signed an exclusive agreement with Warner/Chappell Music, the publishing arm of Warner Music Group.

Warner/Chappell Music discovered Kayfex and his particular beat thanks to Tijeras, in which Kayfex combines trap with traditional scissors dance violins.

His "Inca Sound" blends rhythms and sounds from the coast, highlands and jungle of Peru —recorded by himself— with contemporary genres such as trap, dubstep, reggaeton and electronic music.

The deal was signed a few weeks ago by the Warner/Chappell Music office in Chile along with Warner/Chappell Music US Latin.

A few days after the signing, Kayfex traveled to the United States to attend composition sessions with renowned songwriters and producers in Miami and Los Angeles.

The "Inca Sound" continues to dazzle. In addition, Kayfex will keep growing and representing Peru and its sounds.
