Three Peruvian edible oil brands won gourmet silver medals at the 17th International Oils of the World Competition, Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur) has informed.

The event was organized by the Agency for the Valorization of Agricultural Products (AVPA), and the award ceremony took place in the French capital city of Paris on April 25th.

The winners were Naturally Divine (Amazonian coconut oil), Supay Demonio Andino (panca chili peppers oil), and Shanantina (sacha inchi oil) companies.

It should be noted the latter belongs to Mincetur's Internationalization Assistance Program (PAI)

The Inca country's oils participated in the Monovarietal Oils Category.

"The awards obtained by the Peruvian oils are proof of the excellent quality of our products, which can compete in the European market, as well as in other places," Peru's Paris-based Trade Office (OCEX Paris) Director Aldo Parodi expressed.

AVPA

The Agency for the Valorization of Agricultural Products (AVPA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, mainly composed of producers and taste enthusiasts.

The association's goal is to enhance the value of agricultural products and to recognize the excellence of some producers, too often forgotten in the midst of mass marketing. More than 700 producers from around the world participate in AVPA contests every year.
