Peru's President: Work, education, laws in favor of people will allow us to move forward

21:00 | Lima, Oct. 5.

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Tuesday affirmed that work and more education for citizens will enable the country to move forward, as well as the promotion of just laws in favor of all workers across the national territory.

According to the Head of State, the desired development is achieved through work, without corruption, with integrity, and supporting education of youth.

Therefore, he underscored that his Government will stand up for the workers who day after day earn their livelihood in a dignified manner.

"Do not take advantage of newspaper sellers, laborers, farmers, teachers, and doctors. We are going to move the country forward by working, educating our children, assisting our brothers and families. The newspaper seller law is already a reality. We need to regulate it so that our brothers can enjoy all their rights," he said.

During a meeting with the labor union of newspaper sellers and vendors, the country's top official warned that some people are against labor rights, or against the citizens who have fought battles at public squares voicing their complaints in a fair manner.

"This is not a matter of seeing vacated people or about Pedro Castillo, no. The thing is that some people have not yet understood and do not embody the fact that there is a government of all Peruvians here, so I call for the unity of the people to work very hard," he noted.

In this regard, the Peruvian leader issued an open call so that the country's professionals take up the challenge of the Government too and can work for the good of the country.

Furthermore, President Castillo explained that the increase in the price of some products and the U.S. dollar is not due to the arrival of a people's representative in the Government.
