on Friday affirmed that the contamination caused by the oil spill that occurred in Lima's Ventanilla sea area will be cleaned up and that the company responsible for this ecological disaster will be sanctioned.
"We will clean up the sea, and we will condemn and sanction the company that has come to pollute our sea," the Head of State emphasized.
The President noted that sanctions will also be imposed on companies that abuse people, that pollute, and that do not accept responsibility for the damage they cause.
The Head of State underscored that he has no fear because he owes nothing to anyone and that no company has financed his presidential campaign.
The country's top official reiterated that he is governing the country transparently and called on authorities in the country to work together for the benefit of the population.
Moreover, Mr. Castillo highlighted the efforts made by the Government, together with the Church and private companies, to reopen schools in March.
To that end, he said, a budget will be allocated for the feeding of schoolchildren, as well as for the provision of competent teachers and an adequate infrastructure at all schools across the country.
On the other hand, he insisted on urging citizens to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and emphasized that precisely ICU and hospital beds across the country are mostly occupied by unvaccinated patients due to coronavirus-related cases.
