The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Sunday affirmed that he remains in place fulfilling the people's agenda, adding that he will not be vanquished or will not get distracted (from his goals).

His remarks came as he commented on the investigations that are being conducted against him and his relatives.

The Head of State underlined that when you know the reality of the people, you know how to govern and what needs to be addressed.

"We remain in place fulfilling the people's agenda, meeting their needs, and visiting the most remote places across the country. It (governing) is difficult for those who do not know the country," he emphasized.

Mr. Castillo also warned of attempts to arrest her wife, as well as to shackle her and other members of her family.

"They want to vanquish me, but I will resist until the people say so. They will not vanquish us," he said.

On the other hand, the top official underscored that the Government is working to achieve true decentralization, in the face of decades of centralism in sectors such as education, health, and agriculture.

The dignitary is paying a working visit to the region of Apurimac, where he arrived to provide fertilizers for local agriculture.
