The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Monday affirmed that the vaccination against COVID-19, the return to face-to-face classes, as well as the creation of jobs and investments are the priority of the current Government.

In an interview with La Noticia, the Head of State said that he will summon governors, as well as regional directors of health and education, to a working meeting with ministers of Health, Education, Economy, and himself, so as to address the return to school classes.

"We will give responsibilities during this work meeting, so that the return to face-to-face classes can be without problems," he stated.

"We all have to be responsible and work thinking that it is an issue or the most important issue for the country at the moment," Mr. Castillo added.

"The stage of contradictions is over, and we seek national unity, but focusing on our brothers from rural areas, farmers, teachers, and workers. These issues are on my agenda," the President.

On the other hand, when asked about the resignation of Interior Minister Avelino Guillen, he noted that ministers are continually evaluated and that "it is time to share the results of the work for the benefit of the people."

"They (the ministers) know that they are under evaluation and that I only ask for transparency and work for our brothers from remote areas in Peru; they cannot wait any longer," the dignitary expressed.

Additionally, he explained that the concept of granting sea access to Bolivia is the same as that of other former presidents, on the condition that the Bolivian sea areas be expanded while benefiting from developing a pole of economic and tourist growth with investments from that country.

Furthermore, the country's top official apologized for not expressing himself correctly on the matter.
