Peru's President reiterates support for Ministerial Cabinet

Peru's President Martin Vizcarra walked Prime Minister Pedro Cateriano and State ministers to the front door of the Government Palace to reaffirm his support over their presentation at Congress in order to request a vote of confidence.

Cateriano currently takes part in a Congress plenary session to present the Government's general policy and request a vote of confidence.


In accordance with Article 130 of the Constitution, the President of the Council of Ministers must attend Congress —joined by his Cabinet— to present the Government's general policy and the principal measures pursued by the Executive Branch.

President Martin Vizcarra noted that, during his presentation, Cateriano will develop the measures set forth in his Address to the Nation on July 28.
