The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo announced that, in the coming weeks, the Executive Branch will strengthen its intervention measures in Metropolitan Lima and Callao, adding that it will hold meetings with the population.

"Just as we have gone to regions throughout the country to listen to the voice of the people, youth, housewives, teachers, farmers, among others, we are developing a timetable so that members of the Ministerial Cabinet can reach out to areas of Metropolitan Lima and Callao as well," he emphasized.

On the other hand, the Head of State reiterated that his administration will allocate a budget for the education sector in order to make open admission to universities possible.

Likewise, he stressed the importance of creating the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research "so that our youth no longer look for opportunities outside the country."

Moreover, the dignitary remarked that fundamental sectors such as food, health, and education for our people are being prioritized.

"We will not rest until we achieve a true educational revolution, because a person without education has no future (...)," he emphasized.

Mr. Castillo urged State ministers to dialogue with organizations and grassroots across the country so that their demands for constitutional rights such as access to drinking water and title deeds are assessed and met.

Remarks were delivered on Wednesday, during a meeting with leaders of Metropolitan Lima and social organizations across Peru held at the Government Palace.

During the meeting, the aforementioned leaders voiced concern about the situation in the country and expressed support for governance and democracy.

Also attending were representatives of the Network of Community Kitchens in Chosica, the Artisanal Fishermen Front of Ventanilla, the National Front of Social Fighters, the Community Kitchens Program "Sembrando Esperanza" (Sowing Hope), among others.
