The
President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Monday affirmed that the Government will ensure the constitutional right to education.
Remarks were made within the framework of the start of the 2022 school year in a face-to-face setting, after two years of virtual learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before heading to San Martin region, the Head of State mentioned that State Ministers have traveled to all regions of the country to verify the return of students to classes.
"Dear boys, dear girls, it is a great joy that you can return to school to reconnect with teachers and classmates after two years," the country's top official pointed out.
"I want to assure you that the Government will ensure this constitutional right," he added.
In this regard, Mr. Castillo congratulated parents, mayors, regional governors, and the country as a whole, for having taken seriously the return to face-to-face classes.
"We will make every effort and will provide the support that children and youth need to continue their education," he noted.
The Head of State also thanked teachers for their commitment to the return to classes, because having a fruitful and safe school year depends on them. "Count on us," he said.
