The Head of State made these remarks
during the award ceremony for the competition organized by the Ministry of Production through the Proinnóvate Program. These prizes amount to S/51.5 million (about US$13.6 million).
"The path to sustained growth is shaped by investment, trade and innovation; key aspects that my government has been decisively fostering since the first day of my administration," she emphasized.
Objective of the competition
The resources allocated to the aforementioned competition will be used to "finance business innovation, digitalization, as well as national and international certification projects for more than 720 Peruvian companies," Mrs. Boluarte expressed.
"We provide you with funds ranging from S/45,000 (about US$11,889) to S/400,000 (about US$105,680) in addition to the technical support provided by the Ministry of Production, because we believe and trust in your drive, dedication, and talent, and we want to help you make your dreams come true," she pointed out.
The resources assigned to the competition winners can be allocated —she said—"to create innovative products and services, implement technologies, and accredit their processes with international standards."
"It is also a means for young people to study at prestigious international programming schools," she noted.
Similarly, the top official announced the launch of the Start Up Peru competition.
Lastly, Mrs. Boluarte stated that this will seek to identify the most innovative projects in various Peruvian regions, aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change.
