The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Sunday afternoon conveyed his solidarity and support for the families of the victims of a crime that occurred in Lima's district of Ancon today.

The Head of State affirmed that the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (Mimp) will support the relatives of the assassinated persons.

Additionally, he congratulated the rapid intervention of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) in this case, adding that the Interior sector will ensure the safety of citizens across the country and will firmly combat crime.

According to the police, members of a criminal organization were arrested after they riddled the victims with bullets in Ancon.

The individuals under arrest —who were found with three firearms— are involved in hired assassins, illegal possession of weapons, and drug micro trafficking.
