The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Monday announced that a Decentralized Council of Ministers session will be held on Friday in Cusco region, where the Camisea natural gas project is located.

From Jaen, where he met with local authorities and teachers, the Head of State said he has given instructions so that Wednesday's meeting in Lima instead be held in Cusco this Friday.

"We have to get back on track, get out of these lockdowns, and show that it is possible to govern, that it is possible to work together with the people," he expressed.

The top official reminded local authorities that he had recently signed a Supreme Decree for the massive use of Camisea gas.

Likewise, the President affirmed he is not worried about rumors linked to impeachment, saying that it is proposed by those who have lived off the State government after government.

According to Mr. Castillo, rumors come from sectors that lie to and confuse the population. So, he asked citizens not to be deceived by those claims.

"Peru comes first, second, and third. That is why we are here," he emphasized.

The President arrived in Jaen province on Monday afternoon to supervise works, as well as meet with local authorities and population.
