The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Thursday affirmed that the corruption-free work carried out by her Government provides resources to move forward towards closing gaps, as is the case of the Pension 65 program, which today earned its 800,000th user.

"Millions of millions were taken by corruption, and that prevented us from reaching the most remote places in the country in order to serve them," she stated.

"The Government is working on this frontal fight against corruption, and those millions that were gone in previous administrations now allow us to close gaps, as is the case of Pension 65," the dignitary added.

Moreover, Mrs. Boluarte noted that the Government will continue to support social programs, such as Juntos, which protects women in vulnerable situations since pregnant, to ensure that their children are born healthy and strong, to be then incorporated into the Cuna Mas program and later into Juntos, which will support them until they finish high school.

To support them at the university stage, she said, the Ministry of Education and Social Inclusion (Midis) signed an agreement with the Ministry of Education so that these beneficiaries can access the Beca 18 program, which this year will award 10,000 scholarships throughout the country.

According to the Head of State, this is her concern, as well as closing infrastructure gaps.

Material distribution

The Peruvian President also called on principals of Local Educational Management Units (UGEL) to distribute educational material in different languages in a timely manner so that on March 11, the beginning of the school year, it can be available for students at educational institutions.

"Speaking from here, I call on principals to make an extra effort to distribute the books, which they already have, so that all educational material can be found at schools on March 11, at the national level; let's put an extra effort into it because the development of the country depends on everyone," she asserted.
