Peruvian President Francisco Sagasti on Thursday reiterated the Government's commitment to holding general elections on April 11, 2021, and announced that the health protocols that will govern the election campaigns will be approved soon.
The Head of State called on citizens to comply with the health protocols and regulations designed to avoid COVID-19 contagion, as the new measures —for the electoral process— are approved.
Mr. Sagasti emphasized that the Government is also working and continues to make progress regarding the vaccines, patient care, staff recruitment, and anything that involves addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this sense, he reiterated that water supply has been secured for areas lacking this service both in rural and urban areas, as stated by Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez on Wednesday.
Remarks were made after participating in the launch of the first production line in medical oxygen plants in the country, at the initiative of private companies.
The Peruvian leader noted that hospitals and health centers will be supplied with oxygen thanks to the support of all Peruvians.
