Peruvian Prime Minister Guido Bellido is holding meetings with regional governors at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).

The Cabinet chief announced the gatherings on social media, noting that there is no time to waste.

Bellido has already met with governors from Ayacucho, Huancavelica, and Callao.

At the end of their meeting, Ayacucho Governor Carlos Rua mentioned that he has proposed the agenda for his region, aiming to ensure completion of hospitals being built in the area, irrigation projects, and the attention to the Valley of Apurimac, Ene and Mantaro Rivers (VRAEM).

"In this regard, the Prime Minister remarked that integration bridges must be built and the San Francisco Road must be completed. That is a challenge for the regional and national governments," he told Canal N local channel.

They also discussed the plan for collective reparations to victims of violence, as well as the completion of the Shrine of Remembrance about violence and a possible visit to the locations of Cayara and Accomarca.

Rua, who also chairs the National Assembly of Regional Governments (ANGR), noted that there has been a proposal to give GORE-Executive meetings (between regional governors and Executive Branch officials) the status of a decentralized Council of Ministers session.
