Peruvian Prime Minister Alberto Otarola on Monday met with Brazilian Foreign Affairs Minister Mauro Vieira during his recent visit to Brazil.
Also attending the meeting was Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi.
During the conversation, Vieira reiterated the Brazilian Government's support for the institutional, democratic process in Peru.
Moreover, the authorities stressed the importance of strengthening the integration process in the region.
They also highlighted the significance of working together on priority issues, such as indigenous peoples' issues, the protection of the Amazon, defense cooperation, and the expansion of bilateral trade.
The Peruvian Prime Minister traveled to Brazil leading the Peruvian delegation that participated in the inauguration of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, on behalf of the Constitutional President of the Republic Dina Boluarte.
During the visit, Otarola and Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi conveyed President Dina Boluarte's congratulatory message to Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on his inauguration.
