Peruvian Prime Minister Pedro Angulo stressed the Government's commitment to meet the demands of the population as part of the actions to promote social peace in the country.
In addition, the Cabinet chief ensured that efforts will be made to achieve the development of all Peruvians.
"There are many needs to be met in Peru and, unfortunately, the State has often turned its back on them. We, on the contrary, address them and express the best willingness to work for Peruvians," the head of the Ministerial Cabinet expressed.
Remarks were delivered during the "Call for peace and commitment to health for all Peruvians," an initiative organized by the
Ministry of Health (Minsa).
During said activity, which took place at Sergio E. Bernales National Hospital, Mr. Angulo explained that Peruvians require the fulfillment of three fundamental needs: health, education, and security.
"Raising our voice is a right, and we claim it. However, the destruction of public and private property is a limit to which the State has to react because we must guarantee security for all Peruvians," he added.
Likewise, the high-ranking official highlighted the work of doctors and condemned the use of violence against them.
"I see a lot of commitment and vocation in the faces of doctors. Sometimes, people do not know how exhausted they are due to their work," he remarked.
The event was chaired by the head of the Ministerial Cabinet and was attended by Ministers Rosa Gutierrez (Health), Cesar Cervantes (Interior), and Luis Helguero (Foreign Trade and Tourism), as well as Social Health Insurance System (EsSalud) Executive-President Aurelio Orellana, among others.
