Peruvian Prime Minister Alberto Otarola on Monday affirmed that the Government will always remain at the disposal of parliamentarians to engage in democratic dialogue.
"The Constitutional Government led by Dina Boluarte will always be at the disposal of democratic legislators, as is the case of Mrs. Susel Paredes and Mr. [Hector] Acuña," Otarola stated.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Peruvians had put aside the habit of engaging in democratic and frank dialogue.
"I celebrate this fact, this democratic gesture. I believe that the second name of democracy should be dialogue," he explained.
The head of the Ministerial Cabinet expressed satisfaction after the meeting and welcomed the fact that critical and adverse stances on some Government's decisions have come to light.
Susel Paredes stated that she has received very serious explanations regarding the responsibility of the National Police and the Armed Forces for the alleged crimes committed during the protests held in regions across the country.
Likewise, the legislator was provided details on the formation of a work group with the relatives of the victims of said demonstrations and urged that the meritocracy-based work be maintained.
"We need to restore the quality of State officials, and the competent body is Servir. He (Alberto Otarola) has given us his word in this regard," she added.
