The
Permanent Representative of Peru to the Organization of American States (OAS) Harold Forsyth on Tuesday said that he hopes the 52nd Regular Session of the OAS General Assembly will make it possible to draw important conclusions for the future of the region.
During his participation in the business forum "Peru and the regional economic scenario," he said that intensive efforts will be made at the general assembly, which is set to begin on October 5.
He noted that a meeting with young people of the Americas was held on Monday, adding that additional parallel activities, such as a forum on Amazonian peoples, will take place this afternoon.
"We hope to reach conclusions of enormous importance for the future of our common home: the Western Hemisphere," Forsyth remarked.
The Organization of American States (OAS) is the world's oldest regional organization and will resume the in-person sessions of its highest organ in Lima after going virtual for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
