Peruvian Juan Pablo Huanqui broke a new world record for the fastest person to solve a Megaminx —one of the most difficult puzzles in the world.
The dodecahedron-shaped puzzle, Megaminx, is the modern version of the traditional six-sided Rubik's magic cube.
Huanqui, 17, took the top of the podium at a competition in Salt Lake City, United States, with a time of 32.84 seconds.
At the contest, the Peruvian defeated more than 800 competitors from all over the world.
So far, he has set a total of 10 world-, 17 continental-, and 3
Guinness World-records —proof of his progress in speedcubing.
According to the youngster, this type of challenges helps him break records around the globe.
Last month, Huanqui set
a Guinness World Record by solving 1,000 Megaminx puzzles in only 24 hours as part of the "Most Megaminx Puzzles solved in 24 Hours" challenge held in Lima, Peru.
