Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea has met with
Germany's Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Svenja Schulze, as well as with representatives from the European Union, the Vatican, and the United States.
Gonzalez-Olaechea and Minister Schulze highlighted the cooperation between both countries and Germany's support for Peru's initiatives to protect the planet.
The Peruvian Government official also mentioned the opportunities for cooperation in Peru, arising from the enormous potential in many areas.
Moreover, he noted that Peru is convinced of the importance of caring for the environment and promoting renewable energy.
Other meetings
In this regard, he requested cooperation on this issue, focused on the training and equipment of the
Peruvian National Police (PNP) for the peaceful control of social demonstrations within the framework of the law and in accordance with the
Resolute Action Plan recently adopted by the Andean Community. Johansson said that she would explore this possibility as a priority.
At said meeting, he highlighted the importance of the Catholic Church in promoting a culture of social dialogue and peace.
