Peruvian Diplomatic Service official Jose Jesus Guillermo Betancourt Rivera presented the credential letters, which accredit him as Ambassador of Peru to the Arab Republic of Egypt, before said country's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The ceremony took place at Al-Ittihadiya Palace in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on April 4.

In a subsequent dialogue, the Egyptian top official expressed to Ambassador Betancourt his support for Peruvian President Dina Boluarte's Government, wishing the Peruvian people success and prosperity.

At the same time, the high level of convergence and common interests that exists between both countries was highlighted —a reason to expand and diversify the bilateral relationship in the coming years.
