Peru: Transportation Ministry extends suspension of flights from South Africa

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC) on Sunday extended the suspension of passenger flights from South Africa until March 31 in response to the state of the COVID-19 pandemic at a global level.

The suspension was extended from March 01 to 31, 2022, through Ministerial Resolution 128-2022-MTC/01 published in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

Within the framework of the regulations aimed at facing COVID-19 in Peru, as well as the epidemiological situation of the virus, Ministerial Resolution 877-2021-MTC/01 was issued. It suspended passenger flights from South Africa until September 30, 2021.

The document mentions that said measure was extended by ministerial resolutions 949-2021-MTC/01 until October 31, 2021; 1093-2021-MTC/01 until November 30, 2021; and 1257-2021-MTC/01 until 31 December, 2021; 1402-2021-MTC/01 until January 31, 2022; and 057-2022-MTC/01 until February 28, 2022.
