This amendment will allow the exchange of strategies, methodologies, and processes for strengthening disaster preparedness, reducing the vulnerability of the population, and developing human capacities.
Its signing constitutes an important step to promote the consolidation of Disaster Risk Management (DRM) in the South American country, highlighting the importance of reducing those risks for the
fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the timely response to any disaster.
In line with this, Peru will continue to promote and support international technical cooperation initiatives aimed at addressing the priority issues of both nations, as well as facing common challenges such as climate change, humanitarian crises, gender equality, and sustainable development, among others.
The ceremony was held at Torre Tagle Palace in Lima on Thursday.
