Peru: State of emergency extended in 101 districts across 15 regions due to rains

The Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) ordered to extend the state of emergency in various districts across 15 regions affected by heavy rains.


In both cases, the extension will be for an additional 60 days.

The first supreme decree covers 38 districts across 27 provinces in the regions of Ancash, Apurimac, Cusco, Huancavelica, Lima, Loreto, and San Martin.

In this case, the extension of the state of emergency will begin on April 2.

Second decree

In the second supreme decree, the extension will come into effect from March 31.

It covers 63 districts across 27 provinces in the provinces of Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cusco, Huancavelica, Huanuco, Ica, Moquegua, and Pasco.
