Ministers of State arrived in Piura on Thursday to carry out actions aimed at assisting the population and the areas affected by rains and floods.

Defense Minister Jorge Chavez pointed out that, in the coming days, representatives of the Executive Branch will accelerate in situ the implementation of the actions promoted by their sectors in the face of this emergency.

Chavez noted that heavy rains continue to fall; therefore, according to President Boluarte’s mandate, further actions must be taken by the sectors of Defense, Housing, Agrarian Development, Economy, Transportation and Communications, and Production.

According to the government official, said actions will be complemented by the work of the Ministries of Education, Health, and Labor.

Moreover, the minister announced that aid will continue to be delivered to the victims by air and sea.
