Peru's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) has reported that the South American country's gastronomic offer —mainly Superfoods for exports and flagship drink Pisco— will be showcased at
, Europe's most important gastronomic fair.
The event is held in the Spanish capital city from January 13 to 15.
Moreover, the event's Peruvian section will offer tastings of products from the Inca country's coastal, Andean, and rainforest areas, thus becoming the gastronomic fair's epicenter.
"Having been chosen for the eighth consecutive year as the 'Best Culinary Destination in the World' only commits us to continue promoting our gastronomy in international markets," PromPeru Executive-President Luis Torres affirmed.
"An event as renowned as
Madrid Fusion Reale Seguros, which convenes thousands of professionals from all over the world, could not be an exception," he added.
The 18th edition of Madrid Fusion brings together chefs and specialized journalists from the gastronomic industry.
Therefore, it was deemed as the ideal scenario to announce the return of traditional
Peru, Mucho Gusto food event to Lima after 12 years, following the 18 editions' success achieved in the interior regions of the South American country.
The last edition —held in Tumbes— gathered 34,000 attendees during the three days of fair, attracting 10% of total Ecuadorian tourists.
