Peru: Resignation of Education minister officialized

The Executive Branch has accepted the resignation tendered by Education Minister Carlos Gallardo, thus thanking him for the services rendered to the Nation.

Gallardo's resignation occurs after being censured by Congress of the Republic on December 21.

The supreme resolution published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Friday was signed by President Pedro Castillo and Prime Minister Mirtha Vasquez.

81-year-old Gallardo had been sworn in as Education minister on October 6, 2021.
