The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia made a donation of biosafety equipment to Peru's Interior Ministry for the protection of police members who are on the front line in the fight against COVID-19.

Said donation was delivered in a ceremony attended by Interior Minister Jose Elice and the Saudi Ambassador.

It will serve to reinforce the work carried out by the National Police of Peru as part of the Multisectoral Strategy "Barrio Seguro" (Safe Neighborhood).

The batch consisted of 3,000 disposable face masks, 500 face shields, 200 disposable coveralls, 150 bottles of hand sanitizer, and 150 bottles of liquid soap.

This contribution is an example of the important ties existing between the two countries and the importance of international cooperation to face global problems such as the current pandemic.
