Peru receives €2 million contribution for solid waste management program

The Peruvian Ministry of Economy and Finance accepted the non-reimbursable financial contribution granted by the German Development Bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), up to the amount of 2 million euros (about US$1.94 million), to partially finance the Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Program.

Ministerial Resolution No. 218-2022-EF/52 was published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Friday.

According to the document, said contribution was approved for the aforementioned program that will be executed in the provinces of Arequipa, Tacna, and Coronel Portillo in Ucayali region.

The regulation also authorizes the Public Treasury's General Director to sign, on behalf of the MEF, the contract and other corresponding documents that allow the implementation of this non-reimbursable financial contribution.

This ministerial resolution will be published on the official website of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
