The
Public Ministry, through the Specialized Area for Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaints, filed a constitutional complaint before Congress against Morgan Niccolo Quero Gaime and Angela Teresa Hernandez Cajo as alleged perpetrators of the crime of incitement to discrimination.
The information was released through a statement published on the Public Ministry's official account on the X platform last Monday.
Quero Gaime, in his role as Minister of Education, and Hernandez Cajo, in her capacity as Minister of Women and Vulnerable Populations, were accused as alleged perpetrators of the crime of incitement to discrimination in its aggravated form.
The offense was allegedly committed to the detriment of boys and girls from the Awajun and Wampis Indigenous communities in Condorcanqui province, Amazonas region.
The Public Ministry stated that the case involves statements made by the accused to national media that promote and legitimize the exclusion and devaluation of the aforementioned victims.
