00:00 | Lima, Dec. 12.

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra has received the credential letters of new Ambassadors Michal Sedláèek (Czech Republic), Liang Yu (China), Fenny Nuli (Malaysia), and Jaime Serrano (Panama).

Czech Republic

Thanks to the dynamic political-diplomatic dialogue with the Czech Republic, bilateral cooperation is fruitful in different areas.

This year, the VII Meeting of the Political Consultation Mechanism was held in Lima. Besides, the South American country hosted high-ranking authorities from the European country.

China

The Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ministry underlined that —since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Peru and China in 1971— the relationship has been positive in all areas.

Both countries share a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which they develop with mutual trust and respect.

Malaysia

Meanwhile, the relationship with Malaysia is characterized by the growing reciprocal interest, embodied in the celebration of the I Bilateral Consultation Mechanism this year.

The links are also seen in Malaysia's support for Peru's accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.

Panama

Peru and Panama maintain a close relationship since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1903, as the Inca country was the first in South America to recognize its independence.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry stressed that the corresponding friendship ties are based on political dialogue, cooperation, and economic integration.

The ceremony was held at the Government Palace's Golden Hall on Wednesday. On the occasion, President Vizcarra was joined by Foreign Affairs Minister Gustavo Meza-Cuadra.
