Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday welcomed the governance agreement signed by four political groups with representation in the new Congress, since by doing so they agree to promote the political and judicial reform.

In his speech, during the presentation of the 2019 export figures, the Head of State affirmed that the achievements to be made by the upcoming Parliament will be "a great legacy for Peru."

"We welcome the fact that various political groups have signed a governance agreement covering —among other things— the political and judicial reform," he said, recalling the signing of said document by representatives of Accion Popular, Alianza para el Progreso, Podemos Peru, and Somos Peru parties.

In this regard, the Peruvian leader expressed he is confident the new Parliament will join the shared effort to work for the country, "going beyond political and ideological differences."

As is known, the aforementioned parties announced the signing of a governance agreement to promote several projects to the benefit of the population.

Likewise, said groups are part of a multiparty list that will seek the presidency of the Congress Board of Directors for the 2020-2021 period.
