Peru President: We will not be subdued in the fight against corruption

President Martin Vizcarra on Monday reaffirmed his administration will not be subdued, adding the fight against corruption will not be stopped.

In this sense, the Head of State mentioned the attempts to discredit and tarnish, as well as to raise doubts about him and his administration. 

According to the top official, those bad intentions are aimed at weakening the combat against corruption

"It is trying to confuse and deceive Peruvians with lies and half-truths (…)," he expressed in this sense. 

Likewise, the statesman affirmed there is still much to be done, but he is sure his administration is on the right path

Furthermore, President Vizcarra indicated it is not an easy task, since there are people trying to hinder the launched reforms and attack them in order to protect themselves. 

"(…) This fight for the reforms and against corruption belongs to all honest citizens," he stressed. 

Remarks were made during the enactment ceremony of the National Justice Board's Organic Law.
