Peru: President Vizcarra's approval rating reaches 66%

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra's approval rating grew to 66% in December, the latest Ipsos Peru poll revealed.

Two out of three Peruvian nationals approve of the job he is doing, while his disapproval rating stood at 25%.

Vizcarra's job approval rating rose above 60% for the third consecutive month, thus becoming the first president to have such high ratings for so long, El Comercio newspaper pointed out.

Support for the Head of State was 58% in the north, while it reached 70% in the center and south of the country.

His popularity among the population was led by socio-economic segments A, B, and C, where the rating exceeded 70%, followed by D (66%), and E (59%).

As is known, President Vizcarra currently leads a fight against corruption in the Inca nation.
