Peru President meets with health experts to evaluate actions against COVID-19

The President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra on Monday afternoon met with a group of health experts to evaluate the actions aimed at strengthening the response capacity against the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Likewise, the evolution of the pandemic was analyzed at the meeting held at the Government Palace in Lima.

Health Minister Victor Zamora also participated in the event.

The meeting took place within the framework of a mandatory social isolation imposed to prevent the COVID-19 from further spreading in the South American country.

Initially set to last from March 16 to 30, the social isolation measure was extended until June 30.

Monday marks the seventy-eighth day of mandatory social isolation in Peru.
