The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte held a working meeting with Parliament Chairman Alejandro Soto at the Government Palace in Lima on Friday.

This event also saw the presence of Congress First Vice-Chairman Arturo Alegria and Third Vice-Chairwoman Rosselli Amuruz.

The gathering was quite productive since various topics were addressed in order to generate joint work between the Executive and Legislative Branches, Alegria reported after the event.

"Several topics were addressed; one of them is to propose improvements at the economic level," the parliamentarian said in remarks to the press as he was leaving the Executive Branch headquarters.

Other topics addressed were those of citizen security and education, he mentioned.

In Alegria's opinion, this event was a fairly productive meeting.

"I think it is important to always maintain institutional communication ties between the Executive and Legislative (Branches)," he added.

The Fuerza Popular (Popular Force party) parliamentarian also said that, when the economic issue was discussed, the announcement made by Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen —when he appeared before Congress— was not addressed, regarding the delegation of legislative powers on economic issues to be proposed by the Government.
