Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra visited Pomabamba province in Ancash region to bring humanitarian aid and assess the damage caused by heavy rains, river floods, and landslides.

According to the top official, floods have caused the death of one person and damaged numerous houses, bridges, and roads, among other things.
Therefore, he announced the Government will declare a state of emergency in the affected area (Pomabamba province).
