The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte underscored that 2024 is shaping up to be a better year than 2023 —as a result of the constant effort that this Government has been undertaking to foster the Peruvian economy.

Similarly, the Head of State highlighted the greater boost that her administration has been granting to infrastructure projects.

"Thanks to (public) works, such as the Peripheral Road Ring and Jorge Chavez International Airport modernization process, we are strengthening our infrastructure to enhance connectivity and empower economic development in every region," she remarked.

The top official pointed out that international factors, such as copper and gold prices, will also favor Peru's economy through greater exports, which will have a positive impact on families' well-being and fiscal accounts.

Remarks were made on Thursday evening during her participation in the ceremony marking the 136th Anniversary of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) —an entity that she invited to continue working for the country's progress and well-being.

"Together, united in a single embrace and heart, we will continue confronting the challenges facing us; we will overcome adversity and build a prosperous and promising future," Mrs. Boluarte expressed.

Moreover, the top official recognized the significant contribution by the CCL to Peru's growth since its creation in 1888.

"Born in a difficult context, marked by the Pacific War, this chamber emerged with a clear vision that it has managed to maintain to this day: promoting the country's economic and social development through the boost by free enterprise," Mrs. Boluarte said.

"It has been a key player in promoting institutional reforms aimed at strengthening our democracy and contributing to development. Similarly, the Lima Chamber of Commerce has assumed a leading role in issuing proposals for the fight against crime, contributing significantly to the promotion of peace and security," she concluded.
