Peru President: Govt prioritizes health care improvement

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday affirmed his administration's priority is to improve health care services, adding it undertakes great efforts to upgrade hospital infrastructure, taking into account Peruvians' well-being as the main idea.

"We are improving many people's quality of life, and we continue with this effort of improving health care, which is a basic and fundamental service," the Head of State expressed. 

In this sense, the top official stressed the Executive Branch works on many national goals, but all of them have as —fundamental axis— the attention to human beings and how to elevate their quality of life

Likewise, he explained that —when the government builds highways in diverse areas of the Inca country— it not only brings equipment for the paving but also assesses how farmers can benefit from it

Furthermore, the statesman underlined this investment is completely justified, as it will enable a specialized attention, since it relies on specialists and the necessary equipment. 

Remarks were made during the inauguration of the National Rehabilitation Institute in Lima's Chorrillos District. 

This building will directly benefit over 52,000 citizens. This institute will make possible treating people with any disability, so they can recover and reintegrate into society. 

The total investment in this project is over S/131.8 million (US$39 million).
