Peru: President flies over areas affected by development of Chilca River's riverbed

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Wednesday afternoon flew over the areas affected by the development of Chilca River's northern riverbed, in Lima's southern Pucusana district, and by the Malanche ravine, which developed in Punta Hermosa district.



"We will be flying over the southern area of Lima to see the progress of those works that are being carried out," she expressed.

Among some measures, the top official announced that municipalities will count on a permanent civil defense officer; the creation of a new social housing program; the purchase of helicopters and the launch of the "Punche Perú Solidario" Program to rely on support from the private sector in favor of regions affected by rains.
