Peru President expresses dismay over death of ex-Head of State Garcia

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Wednesday expressed his dismay over the death of the ex-Head of State Alan Garcia.

In this sense, the top official sent his condolences to Garcia's family and loved ones.

Alan Garcia, who served twice as President of Peru, has died in Lima at the age of 69 over a self-inflicted shot to the head.

The ex-Head of State in the morning shot himself after authorities arrived at his home with a 10-day preliminary detention order against him linked to the Odebrecht corruption case investigation.
