coordinated the actions to be carried out in the upcoming hours in Arequipa following the declaration of state of emergency in said southern jurisdiction.

Coordination was carried out after holding a working meeting with mayors, as well as with highest authorities of the Judiciary and the Public Ministry from the aforementioned southern region.
The mayors —who met with the president last Tuesday— expressed their support for the measure and willingness to join forces in favor of citizen security.
Last Wednesday, the Government announced that it had been working on a supreme decree to declare Arequipa in state of emergency, with the aim of reinforcing security and continuing to firmly combat crime.
