The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday closed the 15th GORE-Executive meeting in the city of Iquitos, as part of the decentralization policy promoted by the Government to boost joint efforts with regions.

On his first presidential trip to Loreto region, the Head of State —joined by Prime Minister Guido Bellido— participated in the second and last day of this space for coordination bringing together State ministers, regional governors, and their respective teams.

This event was aimed at directing various topics in favor of Peruvian regions' territorial development.

The GORE-Executive is a meeting for agreements and strengthening between the central and regional governments. It also represents an opportunity to establish regional territorial agendas, as well as progress of investment projects, and adaptation of regulations, among others.

The 15th edition served to address four topics: decentralization, economic reactivation, progressive return to face-to-face classes for the 2022 school year, and action strategies to face the COVID-19 pandemic.

The next GORE-Executive event might be held in Puno region, according to the proposal by Prime Minister Bellido.
