The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday called for the three government levels to work together to meet the population's needs.

"We must understand that if we do not unite efforts by the three levels of government, little or nothing will be achieved," Mr. Castillo warned while participating in the 3rd Decentralized Council of Ministers in Acobamba.

The Head of State said that faced with the same demand, it is best to work in a united and coordinated manner in order to have an effective response and avoid wasting resources.

Concerning the needs of Huancavelica, the top official said the airport for this region should become a reality. Thus, he urged Transportation and Communications Minister Nicolas Bustamante to undertake efforts to set this project in motion.

Similarly, the President addressed Energy and Mines Minister Carlos Palacios to work so as to provide electricity to communities that do not rely on this service in Huancavelica.

Likewise, Mr. Castillo thanked Congress of the Republic for passing the bill that will allow allocating S/1.080 billion (about US$288 million) for investment projects, which —he stressed— will contribute to allocating resources for the most distant areas.

"Bill Nr. 1212, which increases the budget for the year 2022 by S/3.4 billion (about US$907 million), is already in our office for the signing," he expressed.

Furthermore, the President highlighted Prime Minister Anibal Torres' administration for thinking about Peruvian regions.

Moreover, he announced that after the decentralized session in Huancavelica, he will travel to the Valley of Apurimac, Ene and Mantaro Rivers (VRAEM) to listen to authorities from that area.

Mr. Castillo also asked State ministers to receive, as well as to listen to mayors and governors who come to their offices —instead of designating delegates for those audiences.
