Peru President addresses the nation on coronavirus

President Martin Vizcarra currently addresses the Nation about the measures implemented by his administration during the state of national emergency against coronavirus in Peru.

Remarks are made in a televised press conference within the framework of a mandatory social isolation imposed to prevent the COVID-19 from further spreading in the South American country.

Initially set to last from March 16 to 30, the nationwide quarantine was extended until today. A localized quarantine will begin on July 1.

Today, the President is joined by members of the Council of Ministers. The event is held at the Government Palace in Lima.

Tuesday marks the 107th day of mandatory social isolation in Peru.
