In order to protect the members of the National Police of Peru (PNP), Laboratorios Hersil and the National Society of Industries (SNI) participated in the donation of 25,000 masks and 1,000 units of alcohol-based hand sanitizer for the protection of the personnel.

The donation came within the framework of the Campaign to Support the National Police in the Fight against COVID-19 and took place on December 23 at the State Security Directorate headquarters in Lima's Rimac district.

During the ceremony, Laboratorios Hersil CEO Jose Luis Silva expressed support for the dedicated work carried out day after day by police members and thanked their efforts to protect and help the community.

"Laboratorios Hersil is proud to be part of this private donation initiative in favor of the National Police of Peru, so that they can have the tools to assure their own safety during this time of pandemic," Silva expressed.

For his part, PNP Colonel Juan Carlos Delgado, chief of the Dignitary Protection Unit, expressed gratitude on behalf of the police.

"We appreciate the donation of masks and alcohol-based hand sanitizer, which will allow us to protect ourselves while performing our work," he said, recalling the sensitive death of over 500 police officers during the health emergency.

With more than 55 years of experience in the market, supplying more and more Peruvians with medicines and nutritional products at a fair price, Laboratorios Hersil reiterates its commitment to bringing health to more Peruvians, this time with the support of the National Police.

The initiative is expected to reduce the chances of police members from contracting COVID-19.
