Peru: PM attends High-Level Anti-Corruption Commission session

Prime Minister Guido Bellido on Tuesday participated in the 38th session of the High-Level Anti-Corruption Commission.

The meeting was also attended by Foreign Affairs Minister Oscar Maurtua and Judicial Branch Chairwoman Elvia Barrios, among other dignitaries.

During the session, reports were presented on the process of updating the National Policy on Integrity and the Fight against Corruption, as well as on the proposal to modify the Regulation of Law 29976 (law that creates the High-Level Anti-Corruption Commission - CAN).

The High-Level Anti-Corruption Commission constitutes a space for articulation and coordination among public, private, and civil society institutions.

Its objective is to propose short, medium, and long term policies aimed at preventing and fighting corruption in the country.

It is attached to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).
