According to Article 130 of the Constitution, the Prime Minister must attend Congress joined by the Cabinet to present and debate the Government's General Policy —within 30 days after having been sworn-in to office. On the occasion, he raises the confidence motion.
The Prime Minister announced that the Ministerial Cabinet will take concrete measures to Parliament based on the axes that have been prioritized by the Executive Branch: health and education; support for agriculture; boost to economic reactivation; decentralization; unlocking of stalled projects; and restoring trust in institutions.
A simple majority of votes in favor is required in order to approve the confidence motion. That is half plus one of the legal number of legislators: 66 votes.
