WBA female super featherweight champion Kina Malpartida will be granted Peru's highest sports award, the Sports Laurels, during a special ceremony to be hosted by President Alan Garcia Perez.
The ceremony will take place at 10:00 hours (15:00 GMT) at the Golden Room of the Government Palace in Lima.
On Feb. 22, Malpartida became the first Peruvian woman wining a world boxing title, when she defeated Maureen Shea of the United States by knockout in the Madinson Square Garden in New York.
